It’s been a while since I’ve ordered myself a Fix and I’m excited to share my November Stitch Fix Review with you. (links in this post may be affiliate links) This month, I requested clothes I could layer and bring from Fall to Winter, assuming we’d actually have a Fall here (glares at snow on the ground outside my office window.) I wanted items I could pair with leggings or skinnies and boots, which I pretty much live in during Nov-March. I also requested a great sweater tunic or something similar for Thanksgiving.
So how did my stylist do? Let’s see, shall we?
1. Caramela Benfield Heathered Drape Front Cardigan ($58)
This cardigan is so comfortable and warm. AND IT HAS POCKETS! The length might be just long enough to wear with leggings outside of the house, but I love the way it looks with skinnies. I can pair it up with a simple tee or dress it up for a holiday party. The olive color is a nice departure from my typical grey/black winter wardrobe, too. Verdict? KEEP!
2. Look by M Alfie Chevron Ribbed Edge Infinity Scarf ($32)
Y’all know I love a good infinity scarf. I have plenty of amazing ones for indoors, but not a lot of warm choices to wear outside. This is soft and warm, but no so warm that I’ll have to remove it when I’m inside. And I love the camel color. It will pair nicely with a variety of outfit types and colors. Verdict? KEEP!
3. 41Hawthorn Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse ($48)
I have been sent several varieties of the tab sleeve blouse throughout my nine Fixes, and I’ve only kept one. I do love the way they fit and it’s a very versatile piece in that I can dress it up or down. I’d love to pair this with a structured pencil skirt for a holiday party, or I can dress it down, but still feel festive, with jeans and sparkly flats. I also love the color. I’m thinking this version of the tab sleeve blouse may be a keeper this time. Verdict? Still deciding, but most likely KEEP!
4. Loveappella Oliver Faux Leather Trim Striped Top ($58)
I love this top! I do wish it were long sleeves (because winter), but it’s comfortable and something I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of. I do wish it were priced a bit lower, though. It is just barely long enough for me to pair it with leggings (maybe) but it definitely works with skinnies and I love the faux leather detail at the neck. Verdict? Keep!
5. Loveappella Arti Funnel Neck Fit & Flare Dress ($68)
This dress was such a disappointment. I really wanted to end up with a special piece to wear for Thanksgiving and this just isn’t it. The waist is all sorts of wrong. It needs to either be a few inches higher or lower. As it is now, it hits my torso at a very awkward point. The 3/4 sleeves don’t do it for me, either. The dress needs long sleeves. I also wouldn’t consider this fit and flare. Maybe if the waist was a bit higher and the hem a bit shorter, this would have been a great dress to wear with some tights or leggings, but the way it fits now, it’s a big fat nope. Verdict: Send back.
Overall, I was really pleased with my fix, but having one item that doesn’t work kind of throws off the Stitch Fix math a little. The prices of all of the items goes down if I keep all five and get my 25% discount, but without the dress, I end up paying more per item for the four I love. I also would have liked to see some items a bit longer so I could wear them with leggings. The striped top might work, but I am very self-conscious about making sure my leggings aren’t being used as pants.
What do you think of my Fix this month? Leave a comment and let me know!
I’ve gone ahead and scheduled a fix for December because MY BIRTHDAY IS NEXT MONTH YOU GUYS! Yes, I’m one of those people who still loves her birthday. I am hoping for a few more legging-friendly pieces and maybe one of those gorgeous vests I’ve seen floating around on Instagram.
