Welcome to another edition of my Oz the Great and Powerful fashion report!
Today, we’re taking a look at Glinda (Michelle Williams). You may know her as Glinda the Good Witch. I know her as fabulous.
Her signature look in the film is feminine, just like you’d expect from the good witch. One of her dresses is structured and detailed in beautiful white and gold feathers while a pop of color emanates from her tiara, while the one pictured below is more simple and elegant. In each of her costumes, Glinda looks kind, but powerful. It’s a much-improved look from the frilly classic film Glinda.
I took a little different approach with the color and played homage to the classic film version of Glinda by adding the pink from the fabulous dress (available at Target) while adding details from Williams’ Glinda in the headband, shoes, and earrings. Truth be told, I’m pretty much in love with this dress. I stare at it longingly every time I’m at Target.
Of course, no outfit is complete without nail polish. If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with nail color. Enter OPI’s new “Oz the Great and Powerful Soft Shades Collection”. I’m snatching these up as soon as possible, y’all! For this outfit, I’d do the Glints of Glinda, with When Monkey’s Fly on my ring fingers for a little extra pop of color. The shades will be available, in a limited supply, in early March.
I still have one more witch to bring to you next week, so stay tuned! You can also check out my Theodora fashion from last week.
Oz the Great and Powerful hits theaters March 8th.
