September Target Beauty Box ReviewThis month’s Target Beauty Box’s theme is “Fall Right In.” It’s time to start thinking about switching out summer products for fall/winter lines. I am chomping at the bit to switch my wardrobe from summer to fall, but fall weather is still a few weeks away. I’ll settle for trying out some fall-inspired beauty products instead.

What’s Inside This Month

September Target Beauty Box

OGX Renewing Coconut Milk Shampoo: These little shampoos always end up in my travel bags, but I may use this one right away. I’m a sucker for anything coconut scented. I only wish they would have included the conditioner as well.

S.W. Basics Organic Lip Balm in Cinnamon: I was a little hesitant about trying cinnamon lip balm. It’s not a flavor you normally find, but this turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It’s not a sweet cinnamon scent/flavor (think Big Red or Red Hots), but more of a spiced cinnamon with notes of cardamom. It’s already earned a place in my purse. The full-size product contains peppermint, cocoa, citrus, and cinnamon flavors…perfect as a stocking stuffer or an impulse purchase for the lip balm obsessed (me.)

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara: I’m always up for mascara samples. I’m a germaphobe and tend to throw my mascara out on a monthly basis, so this is a definite keeper.

Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick: The card said we were receiving the “Naughty Nude” shade, but I received “One-of-a-kind”, which is a deep red. I’m still trying to get myself to wear bolder lip colors, but this may be a little too bold for my taste. It goes on smoothly and wears off evenly, which makes me want to purchase more in a different shade.

EDEN BodyWorks JoOba Deep Conditioner: I haven’t tried this one out yet, but my hair is due for a deep condition. After a summer of chlorine and pony tails, my poor hair can use all the help it can get.

Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream: This is my third time receiving Water Bank cream in my Target Beauty Box. I’m not a fan of getting repeats, but I do use this cream in the drier winter months when my skin needs the extra moisture.

Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser: The cleanser has a light fragrance, but nothing that lasts much past washing. It works well on my Clarisonic and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dried out. I’ll be using this one on a daily basis for a while to see if it really helps keep my pores clear. If it works, $5.99 for the full-size product is a definite budget-friendly find.

Overall Thoughts

This month’s Target Beauty Box was well worth the $10 cost. Every Target Beauty Box contains a $3 off coupon (which I use every single month), and the coupon can be used more than once. While I’m on a bit of a Target bias this year, I do have to say this is still my favorite subscription box and one where I use the majority of the products on a consistent basis. It’s also nice knowing I can purchase these right at Target instead of hunting them down online or in specialty stores.

This month’s Target Beauty Box is sold out. Typically, Beauty Boxes go on sale the first Monday of a month. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook to get the on-sale alerts.
