Y’all, I’m going to be very real with you for a minute. It’s seven degrees outside with a wind chill around fifteen below zero. Our high temp today was eight.
Which is still higher than many places and much higher than -15 regular temp it was this time last year (thanks, Timehop, for that memory.) But still, it’s cold. So cold.
It has been a week of wintery hell and I haven’t wanted to shower (please see number 7), let alone get dressed properly. I’ve been living in oversized sweatshirts and jeans that are baggy enough to fit a pair of thermals under.
Market and Spruce Sawyer Space Dye Dolman Sleeve Knit Top ($58)
My Stitch Fix box has been staring at me from my office futon, where I placed it as soon as it arrived earlier this week. The prospect of getting dressed and then undressed and dressed again just wasn’t thrilling. And then my deadline return day approached and I realized I should probably try this stuff on and make some decisions already.
Market and Spruce Anise Striped Vest ($78) I was coveting this vest for months, but it arrived and is way too big for me. I’d need an extra small. Bummer. Also, I’m not sure what that face is that I’m making.
But I wasn’t going to shower or style the outfits because if I could at least get away with not having to change my pants for each photo, I would be ok. You guys, it’s too cold to remove your pants unless absolutely necessary. Hashtag keeping it real.
Mak B Tinley Heathered Open Front Cardigan ($48) Do I need another cardigan? Life’s hard choices, I guess.
So this month you’re getting messy second day hair and the same pair of skinny jeans with every outfit. Because cold.
41Hawthorn Georgia Crew Neck Raglan Sweater ($68)
Right now, I’m living for next week, knowing I’ll soon be in California, soaking up the sunshine. Accuweather’s extended forecast likes to tell me it might rain and be cloudy, but I’m choosing to ignore that and hope my positive thoughts of warmth make Mother Nature reconsider her current plans.
41Hawthorn Moni Chain Print Stud Detail Blouse ($58) This is one of those items I didn’t love until I put it on. And you’re welcome for the price tag shot.
I actually requested some new pieces for my Disneyland trip in this month’s fix, but somehow my note got overlooked because two sweaters does not a Disneyland wardrobe make. But, it happens. I still got some great pieces.
I still haven’t decided what I’m going to keep or send back. I’m too cold to think.
What would you keep or send back from this Fix? Leave a comment and let me know!
