Stitch Fix Review September 2015

We’ve hit that strange part of year where the summer weather is ending and fall weather starts showing its face. It was almost 90 every day last week, barely 60 and gloomy this weekend, and it’ll be near 80 by the end of this week. I’m in no way ready for fall because it means winter is close behind, but I’m getting to the point of wanting to pack my summer clothes away, just so I can refresh my wardrobe a bit.

Transition pieces are crucial over the next few weeks. These are items I can wear when it’s warmer and easily adapt for the cooler days. A little change of shoes or the addition of a warm layer can easily take warm weather clothing into the cooler months.

Blazers and cardigans are perfect to layer over short sleveved tshirts.

I asked my Stitch Fix stylist for two things this month: transition pieces and things outside of my comfort zone that are less “mom” looking. I think she nailed it on both counts. I loved this month’s Fix! It gave me a great idea of what I want to invest in for my upcoming fall capsule wardrobe. All of these items would be a great base for a fall capsule wardrobe and I love that they sent items that could be mixed and matched instead of five random items.

Yes, I said capsule wardrobe. I’m going to put together a 37 piece wardrobe over the next week and then I’m committing to only wearing those items until the winter season (whenever it decides to show up this year.) Partly to make my life less complicated and also to save money. I’ll be sharing my new wardrobe later this week when it is finalized.

Fall wardrobe staple is denim. Love the pieces you got and you make it look so put together and gorgeous!

I love denim, too. I need to get another pair of jeans for this fall. My favorite pair finally bit the dust. And thank you for the lovely compliments. <3
