When we chose the dates for our Walt Disney World vacation, we were worried we were “wasting” a Florida vacation on a warm month in Western NY and we should save the trip for the winter when it’s cold and dreary at home.

Turns out, it’s still cold and dreary here, even in May. In fact, I sent my kid to school today in her winter coat because it was 40 degrees when she left for the bus. FORTY DEGREES IN MAY. That’s not normal, even for here.

I’m getting myself through these chilly, rainy weeks by dreaming of sun and fun in Orlando. I can not wait to lay by the pool and soak up some rays. Problem is, I don’t have a bathing suit yet. My old suit has outworn its welcome and I’m ready to add a new suit to my wardrobe. I’m really into the retro suits over at Mod Cloth (shocker, I know) and I’m having a hard time narrowing down my choice to “The Suit”.

Here are my top three choices for my 2014 swim suit.

Beach Blanket Bingo One Piece in Red from ModCloth – $89.99

Inspired by our favorite beach party film, this holy grail of swimwear is flattering on every body type. By Esther Williams and featuring an adorable allover po…

This suit is so much fun! I love the bright red color and polka dots. I love the cut. I can see myself with an oversized beach hat and big sunglasses, drinking a frozen beverage by the pool. I don’t typically wear a one-piece and that’s my only hangup on this suit.

Beach Blanket Bingo Two Piece in Red from ModCloth – $89.99

Inspired by our favorite beach party film, this holy grail of swimwear is now available in a two piece! Flattering on every body type, this retro swimsuit by Es…

I really love the look of this suit (hello favorite suit cut into a two-piece!), and I looked through all of the review photos on ModCloth, but I’m worried about how this suit will fit on my frame. Maybe this one is only made for taller girls or girls with longer torsos? (I am neither of those things)

Bathing Beauty One Piece in Black from ModCloth – $89.99

The holy grail of swimwear, and flattering on every body type, this retro swimsuit by Esther Williams features lowcut legs, a halter neck, and flirty ruching ac…

While I’m all about the polka dot suits, maybe something more classic and plain might be better? The Bathing Beauty comes in all sorts of colors (and I was tempted by the white version and the two-piece white), but I really love black for this suit.

So there you have it. My top three suit choices. Which one would you choose?

I love them all! I have bathing suits all with similar tops, they just look good on anyone I think. I have never been able to get into the one piece trend ever so I would personally gravitate to number 2.
